MB Adhesives has developed this range of adhesives in cooperation with companies in the agri-food sector and with tray manufacturers. This supply chain requires high safety standards to protect food of all kinds, from fresh fruit and vegetables to yeast products, from meat to frozen food, during the delicate transport and storage phases.

MB Adhesives formulations effectively meet all needs: resistance to heat/cold, adhesion on all types of substrates (paper, cellulosic or plastic, painted, coated, moistureproof and greaseproof), high yield with consequent product savings, and cleanliness of the facilities.

The range includes the recent metallocene Hot melt adhesives that offer improved performance, with savings in terms of product used, zero downtime and reduced processing waste.

IVYMELT TE 5740	Hot melt for forming cardboard trays/crates and trays for fruit and vegetables, for medium speed lines. Winter use.	Hot melt adhesive with long open time and medium setting speed, high substrate wettability. Flexible and strong bond line. Straw-yellow. Fair resistance to low temperatures.
IVYMELT TE 5770	Hot melt for forming cardboard trays/crates and trays for fruit and vegetables, for high speed lines. Summer use.	Hot melt adhesive with medium open time and high setting speed, high substrate wettability. Flexible and strong bond line. Straw-yellow. Good heat resistance.
IVYMELT TE 5870	Hot melt for forming cardboard trays/crates and trays for fruit and vegetables, for high speed lines. Summer use.	Hot melt adhesive with medium open time and very high setting speed, good substrate wettability. Flexible and strong bond line, suitable for trays with memory effect. Light yellow. Good heat resistance.
IVYMELT TE 5800	Hot melt for forming cardboard trays/crates and trays for fruit and vegetables, for very high speed lines. Summer use.	Hot melt adhesive with short open time and very high setting speed. Rigid and strong bond line. Suitable for trays with strong memory effect. Yellow. Good heat resistance.
IVYMELT TE 5600	Hot melt for forming paper or cardboard trays intended for cold appliances.	Hot melt adhesive with long open time, medium setting speed, excellent substrate wettability. Strong but elastic bond line. Good resistance to low temperatures.

Metallocene Hot melt

IVYMELT X-950	Hot melt for forming trays made of even difficult materials, heavy, treated, printed or plasticised cardboard. For medium speed lines.	Its superior adhesion on low-polarity substrates (LES – Low Energy Surface) allows to reduce the quantity of adhesive used. Strong and flexible bond line.
IVYMELT X-925	Hot melt for forming trays made of even difficult materials, heavy, treated or printed cardboard. For high speed lines.	Fast adhesive with medium open time. It allows for high production line speeds and ensures clean application, without soiling the melting units. Strong bond line. It reduces the amount of glue required to achieve an excellent result.
IVYMELT X-990	Hot melt for forming trays made of even difficult materials, heavy, treated, printed or plasticised cardboard on high speed lines.	Fast adhesive with medium open time, it allows for high line speeds, ensures clean application, without soiling the melting unit. Strong bond line. It reduces the amount of glue required to achieve an excellent result. Increased adhesion on difficult materials.
IVYMELT X-940	Hot melt for forming trays made of even difficult materials, heavy, treated, printed or plasticised cardboard. For medium speed lines and intended for cold appliances.	Adhesive with long open time. Medium setting speed. Excellent resistance to low temperatures.

Pressure Sensitive Hot melt

IVYMELT TPS 190	Hot melt for forming trays made of even difficult materials, heavy, treated, printed or plasticised cardboard. For medium speed lines.	Pressure Sensitive adhesive with high adhesion and cohesion, for bonding plastic and plasticised materials. Long open time, medium setting speed, quickly develops internal cohesion allowing for workpiece handling after just a few minutes. Specifically designed for PP trays.
IVYMELT TPS 144	Hot melt for forming trays made of even difficult materials, heavy, treated or printed cardboard. For high speed lines.	Pressure Sensitive adhesive with high adhesion and cohesion, for bonding plastic and plasticised materials. Medium open time, high setting speed, quickly develops internal cohesion. Specifically designed to withstand high temperatures, for PP trays.
