Paper bags

with natural, PVA vinyl and Metallocene Hot melt glues

Performs well with any type of paper

MB Adhesives has developed this range of adhesives formulated for the specific needs of industries producing small and medium-sized bags, intended for the food sector (for flour, bread, sugar, etc.) and for general use.

The advantages offered by the MB Adhesives range are, in addition to excellent bonding, great versatility in adapting to the most difficult materials, resistance to heat/cold, a yield that allows for product savings and the guarantee of a process that keeps the machinery clean.

Typical applications include bottom closing, longitudinal bonding, cold and hold window bonding.

Natural Glues Use Features

EMMESTAR 410

Bonding of bottom of paper bags with normal paper with good permeability. For conventional blade systems.

Formulated starch-based natural adhesive paste. High thixotropy, excellent substrate wettability, good green tack, strong bonding, reduced warping.

EMMESTAR 470

Bonding of bottom of paper bags in the presence of paper with low permeability such as aluminised, poly-coated, painted paper. For conventional blade systems.

Modified starch-based adhesive paste. High thixotropy, excellent substrate wettability, excellent green tack, strong bonding, reduced warping. Flexible adhesive film.

EMMEVIL 860

Bonding of bottom of bags with normal paper with good permeability.

High-performance, fast product, suitable for high speed facilities. Clear and flexible bond line, very high strength even on heavy paper, reduced warping of finished product.

EMMEVIL 960

Bonding of bottom of bags with poorly permeable substrates and surfaces difficult to bond because poorly absorbent, such as painted and plasticised paper.

Fast copolymer with medium open time and fast setting speed. Clear bond line, strong and flexible even at low temperatures.

EMMEVIL 979

Bonding of bottom of bags with poorly permeable substrates and surfaces difficult to bond because poorly absorbent, such as painted and plasticised paper.

Modified copolymer with high specific tack, with high viscosity to avoid dripping. The adhesive film is clear, strong, slightly tacky, flexible even at low temperatures.

PVA vinyl adhesives Use Features

LONGITUDINAL BONDING

EMMEVIL 840

Longitudinal bonding of paper bags with normal paper with good permeability.

Long open time, slow product, suitable for medium-low speed facilities. Clear bond line, good strength, easy to clean the facilities.

EMMEVIL 860

Longitudinal bonding of paper bags with normal paper with good permeability.

High-performance, fast product, suitable for high speed facilities. Clear and flexible bond line, very high strength even on heavy paper, reduced warping of finished product.

EMMEVIL 960

Bonding of poorly permeable substrates, with surfaces difficult to bond because poorly absorbent, such as painted and plasticised paper.

Fast copolymer with medium open time and fast setting speed. Clear bond line, strong and flexible even at low temperatures.

EMMEVIL 1015

Cold bonding of special paper, even with non-absorbent substrates, for bags with windows.

Permanent tack modified terpolymer, formulated for difficult bonding of non-porous materials (plasticised and plastic), on porous substrates and non-absorbent substrates, after passivation. Medium-high viscosity. The adhesive film is clear, flexible, very tacky and performs well even at low temperatures.

Metallocene Hot melt Use Features
IVYMELT X-950

For bags made of difficult paper, even treated. Suitable for medium-high speed lines.

Its superior adhesion on low-polarity substrates (LES – Low Energy Surface) allows to reduce the quantity of adhesive used. Strong and flexible bond line.

IVYMELT X-940

For bags made of difficult paper, even treated. Suitable for medium-low speed lines.

Adhesive with long open time, suitable even for difficult, plasticised, painted substrates. Medium setting speed. Excellent resistance to low temperatures.

BONDING OF WINDOWS

IVYMELT X-940

For bags made of difficult paper, even treated. Suitable for medium-low speed lines.

Adhesive with long open time, suitable even for difficult, plasticised, painted substrates. Medium setting speed. Excellent resistance to low temperatures.

IVYMELT TPS 143

Hot bonding of special paper, even with non-absorbent substrates. For bags with windows, greaseproof and moistureproof.

High adhesion on plastic materials, low viscosity for excellent application control. Clean processing without producing threads, good performance at low temperatures.

IVYMELT TPS 140

Hot bonding of special paper, even with non-absorbent substrates, for bags with windows, greaseproof and moistureproof. For separable bags, easy separation of the plastic film from the paper.
